Gill Neate Private Practice PA

Gill is originally from Durban in Kwa-Zulu Natal, she moved to Alton in Hampshire in the late nineties, having spent a number of years in the Western Cape.

Gill has a background working in business both in South Africa and the United Kingdom and over the last few years has worked predominantly in the healthcare sector. Gill started working for Dr Hickman in January 2011.

Gill's weekends and summer evenings are taken up either at the local Alton Golf Club, where she is the 2011 Lady Captain, or with the local running club. 

Although she loves returning to South Africa, she spends most of her holidays these days visiting her son and daughter, who are both living in Sydney, Australia.

Gill looks forward to meeting and providing a friendly and efficient service to all of our patients.

Gill Tyrrell Echo Physiologist

Gill is lead Echo Physiologist at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford.

She trained as a Cardiac Technician at St George's Hospital in London and Westminster College, and qualified in 1972. She gained full accreditation with the British Society of Echocardiography in 1993.

Her interests are in complex imaging of the heart in adults, including trans thoracic echocardiography, physiologist led bubble contrast echocardiography, assisting cardiologists in trans oesophageal echocardiography and stress echocardiography. Her specialist interest in paediatric echocardiography, has led to development of services with paediatricians locally, and paediatric cardiologists at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

Gill is an examiner for the British Society of Echocardiography accreditation examinations, and supports the teaching of echocardiography to junior physiologists and doctors.
